Kathy grew up in Pittsburg, KS, attended Wichita State university where she received her Bachelor’s of Health Science and her Master’s of Physical Therapy. She married Brent Cooper in August 1995. In 2001 they moved to Concordia, MO where she partnered to open Physical Therapy of Concordia in 2004. In 2012 Kathy and Shelly Yount, PTA became sole owners of the clinic. In June 2017 they opened Knob Noster Physical Therapy with 2 other partners. In Feb 2018 she completed her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy with a Therapeutic Pain Science Certification.
She and Brent have 3 children, Cailey is a student at the University of Missouri and will be graduating in 2022 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. Cameron is in pharmacy school and will be graduating on 2024 with a PharmD degree. Cate will graduate from high school in 2022. Their family is completed with their Yorkie Ray.

Jennifer graduated from Concordia High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst College. She lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked in acute care at a hospital, where she met her husband, Rod. Jennifer also obtained work experience in an outpatient hospital setting and then a private practice outpatient setting. She returned to work part time as a physical therapist in 2010 at Physical Therapy of Warrensburg and then had the opportunity to transfer to Physical Therapy of Concordia. She is currently working part time at PTC and is glad to provide care to local communities and returning patients to their previous functional level.
In 2000, Jennifer and Rod welcomed Nathan, and in 2004, Phillip to their family. Nathan graduated from St. Paul Lutheran High School in 2018 and is attending University of Central Missouri. Phillip is attending St. Paul Lutheran High School. She continues to volunteer for St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Grade School and St. Paul Lutheran High School. She looks forward to attending many more of Phillip's games. In her free time, she enjoys taking pictures, scrap booking, discovering treasure in the West Bottoms, spending time with her family, parents and sister's family.
Jen (Vogelsmeier) Dickinson was born and raised in Sweet Springs where she was a 2007 graduate of SSHS. After high school, she made the long drive to Columbia, MO and attended the University of Missouri. Jen graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2013. In June 2013, she married her high school sweetheart, Chris. Together, they have two amazing kiddos. Olivia who was born in 2015 and Eli who was born in 2018.
After Olivia was born, Jen began taking specialty courses for pelvic floor physical therapy. She has over 100 hours of continuing education across the country in this sub-specialty and is currently a Teachers Assistant for the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Jen joined the Physical Therapy of Concordia family in January 2020 after 7 years at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, MO.
In her free time, Jen enjoys running and spending time with her family at the Lake of the Ozarks. She is also an avid sports fan and loves to attend or watch sporting events. M I Z!
Morgan grew up in small-town Nebraska and graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2018. Morgan joined the PTC family in August 2018 and since then has received further training in functional dry needling, myofascial release, and pelvic health. She is passionate about helping women with pelvic floor dysfunction and is currently getting certified as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist through Sarah Duvall.
Morgan is married to J.T., who is a teacher and coach at St. Paul Lutheran High School and together they have two kids, Judah and Ava. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, as well as their chocolate lab, Rosie. She also enjoys going on walks, reading, listening to podcasts, and traveling to visit family.
Shelly has worked in the "therapy world" since late 1990's and in 2004 she was part of the beginning of Physical Therapy of Concordia in the front desk and tech position. In 2007, she returned to school and graduated in 2009 with her Physical Therapy Assistant degree. Since that time, is now a part-owner in the clinic in Concordia and is also co-owner at Knob Noster Physical Therapy which was opened in 2017.
Shelly has been married to Troy since 1995 and they have 2 children. Shelly's son Turner graduated from Concordia High School in 2019 and is currently attending college for Computer
Programming. Her daughter Landry is attending Concordia High School and will graduate in 2022.
Shelly stays busy with all of her family activities and enjoys going to the lake in the summer.
Jaala was born and raised in Concordia, MO. She graduated from Concordia High School in 2008 then received her Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Penn Valley in 2011. She became interested in Physical Therapy after having 4 knee surgeries while in high school. In addition to her surgeries, Jaala was hired by Physical Therapy of Concordia in 2007 as a tech and assisted with office work/filing on the weekends. With that experience, she knew PTC was the place for her and has been working for them ever since. Jaala is certified in LSVT BIG and PWR! (Parkinson's Disease Programs), Graston Technique (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), Blood Flow Restriction, Kinesio Taping, as well as treating the various conditions referred to the clinic on a daily basis.
Jaala married her high school sweetheart Steven (born and raised farmer from Concordia) in 2013. They have three children; Brinley, Mason and Isabelle.
Brittany was born and raised in Concordia, Mo. She graduated from Ozarks Technical Community College with her Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2017. Continued education with Pelvic Floor Therapy and Myofascial Release in 2020, bachelor's degree in health science with a minor in Psychology in 2022. She is now pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, to finish December 2024.
Brittany bought a home in Concordia which she remodeled and is now enjoying her time there with her husband, Trevor, and their 2 dogs, Dax and Sophie. She began working for Physical Therapy of Concordia in October 2017.
Being outdoors is her get away place. She enjoys deer hunting and spending time with friends and family in her free time.
Gena was born and raised in Norborne, MO, a small farming community. She has been happily married to Kevin for 33 years. They have 2 daughters, Ashley and her husband Adam, and Marissa and her husband Matt. She became grandma in 2019. Gena has been in healthcare doing insurance billing, for over 33 yrs. She started out working for a Chiropractor in Higginsville. When she got married she started working for Meyer Medical Clinic in Concordia and worked there for 29 yrs.
Gena enjoys being a grandma to Avery and Aiden, and has another grandbaby on the way. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, sewing, crafting, cooking, and gardening.
Kayla was raised in Concordia and graduated from Concordia High School in 2015. Then went onto North Central Missouri College, in Trenton Missouri, to continue her softball career while receiving her Associate of Arts from 2015-2017. She decided to come home and attend University of Central Missouri during which time she completed her internship here at the physical therapy center and was offered a job before graduation. Kayla graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Kinesiology in 2019.
In 2020 Kayla married her high school sweetheart, Jordan Tyler, and they welcomed their son, Trae Norman, in 2021. Kayla stays plenty busy in her free time; being her nephews biggest fan, spending time with loved ones and their rescue dog, Houdini, and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks.
Cailey was born and raised in Concordia, MO. Growing up, she spent many days at the clinic -- being the daughter of Kathy Cooper. She graduated from the University of Missouri with her Physical Therapist Doctoral Degree in 2022. She will be continuing her education with Pelvic Floor Therapy in July 2022. She has been an intern for a health coach since August 2021, and plans to continue her education in holistic health coaching with an emphasis in incorporating Physical Therapy for a whole-body approach to healing.
Cailey will begin working for the clinic in June, 2022. She plans to spend much of her time with family and friends during her time back home, as well as visiting her fiancé, Garrett Clouse, during the weekends in Kansas City.
Sydney was born and raised in Salisbury, MO. She attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO and graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2022. In June of 2022 she married Eric Allen and made Sweet Springs her home.
Sydney began working for Physical Therapy of Concordia in July 2022. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as spending time outside and down at the lake.
Lynda was born and raised in Concordia, MO. She graduated from St. Paul Lutheran High School in 2019. In December of 2022, Lynda graduated from the University of Central Missouri with her Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. She plans on working in a career involving fitness and exercise once she gets married to her high school sweetheart, Ryan Kollbaum, and moves to Nebraska in the summer of 2023.
Michelle (Winter) Boland graduated from Sweet Springs R-7 in 1989. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Central Missouri and her Master's in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Michelle married Donald Boland in December of 1994. Together, they have two children, Bailey and Brock.
Michelle and her family live in rural Sweet Springs. Michelle enjoys camping, fishing, and spending time with her family and traveling.
Michelle joins Physical Therapy of Concordia after 13 years in the education field.
MIchelle (Winter) Boland graduated from Sweet Springs R-7 in 1989. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Central Missouri and her Master's in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Sheryl grew up in Alma, MO and attended the University of Central Missouri receiving her Associate in Science-Legal Secretarial, Bachelor of Science in Education-Business Education and Master of Science in Education-Secondary Education/Curriculum and Instruction. She retired after 30 years of teaching jr. high, high school and jr. college. She has been married to her husband, Darren for 30 years. They have three boys, Cole (Callie), Tanner and Carter. She also has two grandsons, Walker and Lincoln.
She enjoys spending time with her family, going to their cabin and crocheting.
Kim received a Bachelor of Science Education in Education and a Master of Science Education in counseling. She has been married to her husband, Norman Brunkhorst, in 1986. Kimberly has three children, Seth (Rachel), Cale (Cassidy), and Ellison (Devon). She is also a proud grandma to Caroline Joyce and Emma Jane. She has her beloved dogs named May-Z & Scooter Bob.
For free time Kim enjoys spending time with her family and going to the lake. She also loves sports, reading, and being around friends.
